About the Centre
The Computer Centre, Assam University Silchar is established in March 1997. It is a centralized servicing centre for providing campus internet and intranet services; web services; mail services; database services; name resolution services; video conferencing services; etc. These ICT services are run on 24X7 basis in both the campuses of Assam University at Silchar and Diphu. The Centre maintains the University data for All India Survey in Higher Education portal.
The Centre offers a one year Post Graduate Diploma Course in Computer Application (PGDCA). The Centre is the Nodal Center for running the outreach programme and conduct the live & Interactive courses offered by Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun in distant learning mode.
