Research Area
The broad area of our research includes various aspects of fungal genetics and biology.The current projects undergoing in the laboratory are related to characterizing useful bio – molecules from fungi(DBT – Twinning funded); strain improvement of fungal cell factory P.pastoris(Funded by DBT – RGYI Scheme); understanding the importance of Arginine metabolic pathways operational in human pathogen Candida species(Funded by DST – SERB Young Scientists Scheme) & Isolation & characterization of antifungal molecules from rhizospheric bacteria(DBT funded).
